Sociology is the science of the formation, development and functioning of social communities, processes and relations, as well as the ways, forms and methods of their implementation.

The founder of sociology, O. Comte, believed that sociology is a positive science of society. Durkheim called the subject of sociology a social fact. Max Weber considered sociology to be the science of social behavior, which it seeks to understand and interpret.
